Late Snowstorm I
PHOTO INFO These were all taken between 5:00 and 6:00 p.m. on the same night during a strange and brief little snowstorm that left only a dusting -- in a rather wild and gusty way. The skies were changing dramatically every couple of minutes due to the high winds. For post-processing, I've done the usual curves and added some playful saturation (and desaturation). These are particularly grainy shots due to the high ISO I used, and I've removed some of it, but I kinda like the mystery that comes with leaving some there. Thanks for your ever-evolving patience with my new filter! :) I'm still catching up on email - if I haven't got back to you yet, I will soon. Thanks, everyone! -- Kathleen Comments:
This is a stunning photo. The colours are rendered very well and it's wonderful to be able to feel the rainy weather. I like to do similar photos and this one reminds me of a rainy road photo I had taken around the same time (early April 2005). You can see it here Posted by Baris at August 28, 2005 4:41 PMSorry, I thought I could add a link, but it doesn't seem to work. My photo is here: I HEART this picture. Posted by Maria at March 15, 2006 5:46 AMThis image somehow reminds me of the imagery in the book "To Build a Fire" by Jack London. Stunning image!
