PHOTO INFO Post-processing: Curves, curves, curves, selective color saturation/desaturation, color balance to bring up the highlights, fading and blending in soft light and multiply mode, sharpening faded to 100% in luminosity mode. Still working on that tutorial for anyone who's been following along. :) It's quite a bit more complicated to write out than I thought it would be, and is probably getting too philosophical at this point, but I'm working on it! Thanks for your patience. --Kathleen Comments:
is this pic/reflection for real? If au naturel, it is fantastic! Posted by faye at September 28, 2005 5:07 AMYes, the whole scene is real - I don't have the talent to fake something like this! Just another day of mud puddles in Durham Township. Posted by Kathleen at September 28, 2005 2:17 PMSuper shot!!! Posted by Tatiana at October 11, 2005 8:51 PMQuelle belle symétrie !! This is the most lovely photograph I have ever seen. It makes me feel very close to the person I was at five years old. I am saving up to order the print. Posted by John David Sturgill at December 5, 2005 5:18 PMthis is possibly my favorite of yours. Timeless. I've been that kid. I've had that kid. I know that kid. Posted by Jill Draper at February 12, 2006 6:08 PMi like the subject, but this photo is ruined by what appears to be extremely cheesy photoshopping. lay off the wipes, and instead make judicial use of cropping to emphasize the boy. Posted by jacobe hazzard at March 5, 2006 7:07 AMThinking about my 6 years old boy when he is walking with me, it seems to be very difficult , not to step in or even jump in to those very attractive mudpuddles. Also when he's not allowed to because of his still spotless cloth, and keep spotless. I have to smile while looking at this beautiful shot! Posted by Oliver at May 11, 2006 11:12 AMvery nice photo and of course the moment is perfect Posted by heitta at August 24, 2006 2:11 AMVery fine. Sensitive and nostalgic.
