PHOTO INFO
Jakey was welding a part of the manure spreader late this afternoon in the doorway of the farm's tool shed and I was lucky enough to get a few shots.
Post-processing: I shot this at ISO 800 with an exposure compensation of -0.7 to keep from blowing too much of the highlights around the welding area, so the background is quite dark. I've applied my usual curves adjustments, selective color saturation and de-saturation, some white brushing in 'vivid light' and 'color dodge' modes and a little bit of burning/dodging here and there.

I really wish I could see this in print, just to see how well the post-processing holds up, but in some sense it doesn't matter. well done.
