Warm Day in January
PHOTO INFO Post-processing: Shot with the 5D at 17mm. I stopped the camera down quite a bit when I shot this. In post, I changed the white balance from the camera's auto-mode to add more warmth, added some vignetting, applied curves adjustments and desaturated the image overall. Thanks, everyone! Hope 2006 is off to a great start! --Kathleen Comments:
so perfect..how do you do it? Posted by at January 30, 2006 1:09 AMI'm having trouble articulating my thoughts. I am, in an word, stunned. The scene is fragile. Running, the lad is terribly small in the immensity of all that surrounds him. But even the sky, the land, and of course the shed seem to have a mysterious fragility - in response to the boy, maybe? I don't know. As I said...I can't quite get find the words... But here's some, haphazardly: Wow, hard to believe there are only two comments on this one -- all of your images have amazing beauty, but this one strikes me as special. I can't put my finger on why I like it so much, but I do. Striking and lovely. Posted by alex at February 3, 2006 11:10 AMI'm speechless!!! So... absolutely... It's great! Congrats!
