After a very heavy downpour last night, it was gorgeously sunny this afternoon and very unseasonably warm at 65 degrees F. We went out for a long hike and a good puddle-stomping in the pre-spring weather. I noticed it was still twilight when we left the park at 6:00 p.m. I'm looking forward to longer days! I heard there may be some snow on the way -- finally -- this coming week. We'll see...
Post-processing: Shot with the Canon 5D at 17mm, ISO 800, 1/200s at f/10. (Should've used a faster shutter - a little blur in his moving foot there - live and learn.) Multiple curves adjustments for contrast, saturation. Added some vignette, did some light dodging, color balancing to remove some of the red tones, overall desaturation.
Thanks for all the comments on the previous image! And thanks for stopping by little old Durham Township.
Hello! A friend of mine introduced me to your photography and I have to admit, I could spend hours looking at your incredible photos. This one struck me in a way that brought back memories of my oldest son when he was young. You captured happiness and the freedom of being a kid. An extra plus in this photo is personal...my son's birthday is also February 3rd! He will be 20 soon. Thank you for making your art available for others to look at and appreciate.
