White Christmas
PHOTOGRAPH INFO Nah... it didn't snow here. But I found the next best thing -- a great product called Soft Snow, made by the Putnam Company in Walworth, Wisconsin. Leave it to the folks in Wisconsin to manufacture very believable fake snowflakes! I'm not sure what Soft Snow is made from, but these "loose synthetic flakes" (as it says on the package) are wonderful for creating an instant winter wonderland. :) Thanks to my little elf Jenn for putting up with gallons of phony snow in her hair, eyes, mouth, shirt, coat, shoes, pockets... Happy Christmas, everyone! Post-processing: Shot with the Canon EOS 5D Thanks for visiting Durham Township! --Kathleen Comments
Very nice. Merry Xmas. Posted by Cousin Mike on December 25, 2006 1:22 AMA snow queen!! I just love this shot - great composition and with the soft focus on the snow I can actually 'feel' the snow being blown my way. Excellent results proving the fake snowflakes to be a choice idea Posted by Suzette on December 25, 2006 6:14 AMReally impressive shot and dof, actually you fooled me with that fake snow :) I like your blog and I'm have my eye on it all the time... good work Kathleen ;) Posted by chemic on December 25, 2006 7:54 AMMerry Christmas to you and your family.
