This photograph was taken around 5:15 p.m., just as the sun was going down in a blaze of glory on one side of the sky, and the (nearly-full) moon was coming up through some misty haze on the other. The clouds in this shot were sandwiched between the two events; I didn't know which direction to shoot first! This area has a wonderful 360-degree view of the sky.
Post-processing: Shot with the Canon EOS 5D and the Canon EF 24-70mm f/2.8L lens at 24mm, ISO 400, shutter speed 1/200s and aperture f/10. Curves adjustments for contrast and saturation; color balancing for tone.
Thank you for visiting Durham Township!

Loved the minimalism in the photograph! great use of negative space! Your photoblog is indeed eyecandy!
Hi, Kathleen. I just found your website today and as I was perusing your pictures I couldn't keep my jaw from dropping. Your pictures are amazing, and especially on this one, I had goosebumps all over. You're awesome, as are your pictures.

The Woot Shung walking stick almost seems magical. Its like it is rallying the clouds towards itself. This shot is surreal!
