Falling Leaves, Afternoon Storm

This photograph was taken during a mid-afternoon wind and rain storm. I had been running errands and pulled the car to the side of the road for a few shots of the leaves blowing. But the wind gusts were so strong I couldn't get the car door open! I had to wait a bit before I could get out.

Not only do I always carry my camera where I go, I carry an assortment of large, heavy-duty plastic baggies and a bunch of rubber bands. I wrap the camera and lens quickly if there's heavy moisture or if it's raining.

Post-processing: Shot with the Canon EOS 5D and the Canon EF 24-70mm f/2.8L lens at 24mm, ISO 400, shutter speed 1/1000s and aperture f/10. Basic curves adjustment for contrast & saturation; color balancing for tone.

Thank you for visiting Durham Township!

I love it. Great mood.
