PHOTOGRAPH INFO Another shot from the Thaler dairy farm. Post-processing: Shot with the Canon EOS 5D Thank you for visiting Durham Township! --Kathleen Comments
Hiho, hiho, it's off to work he goes. Please, sometime a picture of the dog that makes the scratches on the door to be let in. Posted by JPH on May 7, 2007 5:56 AMHe looks ready for work. The lighting is wonderful here. Posted by Laurie on May 7, 2007 6:13 AMWarm image - I can feel the sun casting that glow - terrific capture as always, Kathleen! Posted by Betsy Barron on May 7, 2007 7:12 AMthat looks like a runway pose. What a cute kid. Posted by keith on May 7, 2007 7:26 AMI LOVE this image. It's a beautiful, warm, environmental portrait. I love how the young boy is lit by the soft light from the open door. There's just enough light to give a hint of the interior character of the barn (the wooden beams in the ceiling, the bucket, the door, the hay on the floor). I also like how you can get an idea of the exterior surroundings as the exterior image coming through the window is not washed out. This image is yelling "publish me somewhere". Phenomenal capture, Kathleen. Posted by Russ on May 7, 2007 9:44 AM...and I forgot to add it looks like something from an Andrew Wyeth painting. Posted by Russ on May 7, 2007 9:45 AMNice natural lighting and good composition. Posted by Alice on May 7, 2007 10:39 AMDittos to Russ on the Andrew Wyeth point. but it could also be a Bucks County Fashionable Footwear Magazine cover photo shoot. Won't comment on the floor, reminds me on my studio. Just got a 35yr old Kirby to take care of that. your on a beautiful roll, keep 'em coming! Posted by david tinnon on May 7, 2007 11:30 AMWarm, and I even caught myself looking through the dirty window. I love everything you shoot. Posted by melody on May 7, 2007 1:45 PMnice light here for a well composed picture. Posted by .:CushmoK:. on May 7, 2007 2:19 PMI find it funny how many times I find that people have already said the comments flying through my head. Anyway, I too found myself staring through the window wishing I could pan the camera to see the rest of what lies outside. I've never actually been to a farm so I'd really enjoy exploring one. One day... Posted by Michael George on May 7, 2007 6:14 PMSome time ago I wrote I was hoping to see more photos with a tinge of hm..., say, austerity. A bit earlier, I wrote your work is pure poetry to me. All I can do when looking at The Calf Barn shot is: I confirm.
