This photograph was taken yesterday in Cooks Creek on our first 'summery' day this year. Frogs were everywhere. Kids were catching frogs. Adults were wincing as the frogs were accidentally dropped. :)

Post-processing: Shot with the Canon EOS 5D and the Canon 180mm f3.5L Macro lens at 180mm, ISO 400, shutter speed 1/200s, aperture f/3.5. Curves, color balancing.

This is a fantastic shot, Kathleen. Tons of personality and character, and perfect use of selective focus with a wide aperture. This image speaks to the kid that's in all of us.

This shot is a great encore to The Calf Barn. I LOVE it! It's wonderful "slice of life" image. I love how the frame is completely filled with just frog, hand, and face. The slightly out-of-focus, smiling face behind the frog just completes the shot and tells the rest of the story.

Impossible not to love this one. I think my fav part is the contrasting smile and then what appears to be a frown on the frog.

Wonderful, comic image; the depth of field on this is just perfect and the frog's expression is very amusing.

This is like an advertisement for what summertime and kids is all about. Perfection!

It ain't easy being green, but it does make for a ribeting photo with a twist of kid thrown in.

Melody's comment begs for a balance. My daughters(4) caught lizards, frogs and snakes.....it least they did till they discovered phones, makeup and boys. I have 4 boys also, but the older ones still catch LF&S even after discovering girls. There, that's balanced....?

Great shot. I love how you can see the mischievous smile on the boy in the background. The DOF is what really makes this shot though...excellent!
