March Ice, Sunset
PHOTOGRAPH INFO This photograph was taken last night at 7 p.m. (I love Daylight Savings Time!) The yellow stuff in the rows are oats which were planted last fall to hold the soil for a spring crop of timothy (hay for horses). We had a rather surprising eight inches of snow & sleet on Friday -- most of it sleet. Shoveling the walkways was insanely exhausting! Each shovel-ful weighed about 20 pounds, no exaggeration. Usually we've seen the end of winter storms by now, but the winter of 2006-7 has been very unusual. Post-processing: Shot with the Canon EOS 5D Thank you for visiting Durham Township! --Kathleen Comments:
