River Fog Near the Triangle, 7:43 a.m.
PHOTOGRAPH INFO Another photograph from this week's series of Delaware River fog shots. The fog usually burns off by 9:00 a.m. leaving a beautiful, sunny day in its wake. If you're a late sleeper you wouldn't guess it had been this foggy early in the day. This is my favorite weather of the year - foggy mornings, sunny afternoons, high 70s to the low 80s. The Triangle is the name of one of the fields where corn is planted for Thaler's dairy farm. I think this is even better than the last one. I love the golden light of autumn mornings and evenings. Posted by Tero on September 21, 2007 2:24 AMBeautiful morning light in this image. Lovely work. Posted by LwS on September 21, 2007 3:19 AMOoh, beautiful, what a warm, peaceful shot. Posted by kristarella on September 21, 2007 3:46 AMOnce again a beautiful light and mood. Must be a great place to shoot Posted by Mauricio Matos on September 21, 2007 5:35 AMThis is very much like a painting by one of the English landscape painters. Supurb. Posted by john on September 21, 2007 7:00 AMYours are among the best of photography I have seen. I would love to have your ability. Posted by Mike on September 21, 2007 9:30 AMThis is beautiful. Fog is one of God's gifts to photographers. I like the line that emerges from the left side of the frame created by the swale. I like how it wraps around the trees just right of center. It's a very nice leading line. Posted by Russ on September 21, 2007 9:38 AMBeautiful, golden morning light, with just enough fog to give it a slight dream-like effect. Wonderful shot Kathleen! Posted by Kim on September 21, 2007 11:08 AMIt's just like a place in the dream! Posted by eric on September 21, 2007 12:08 PMwhere is willow? I'm diggin' this one...I like it even more than the previous image..the foreground is way cool!! I would almost think to trim off the little bit of blue sky at the top (or clone the clouds/fog to fill the top of the frame) to soften the background and make the foreground even more prominent. great, great shot! Posted by mikelangelo on September 21, 2007 11:41 PMIf David Tinnon is an idiot, would that all men would be......... Posted by Victoria on September 22, 2007 10:49 AMBeautiful landscape, I like the colours and the peaceful atmosphere. Posted by Wolfgang Burzler on September 23, 2007 3:21 PMBeautiful country scene! I love it! Posted by Craig Wilson on September 23, 2007 4:22 PMAnother stunning shot. This is like an elegant painting. I love this weather, but unfortunately between getting the boys to school at 7:30, by the time I fight my way through traffic to get to someplace beautiful to shoot, this would be nothing more than a memory. I drove the Water Gap last Monday on my way to Long Pond and I saw the last remnants of the fog hanging at the top of the mountain. I could tell that it must have been a sight to see a couple of hours earlier. I was sad that I couldn't get there earlier, and that I didn't have time to stop. Posted by Laurie on September 24, 2007 8:52 AMVery warm lighting. Great image. Posted by Daniel A. Norman on September 24, 2007 10:19 AMReally beautiful Posted by chiara on September 24, 2007 5:12 PMIt fills me with great sorrow that people have the opportunity to see such beautiful work and the only response that is generated is one of hostility. This is a place where we can all escape the pressures of everyday life, share experiences from our past and rejoice in the freedom that these images inspire. Posted by Willow on September 26, 2007 8:43 PMAmazing weather conditions.... Does the field in the foreground look like rows of untrimmed pineapples to anyone else, or is it just me? Sort of "Bucks County Hawaiian style." Posted by David Tinnon on October 21, 2007 1:00 PMSpeak!
