Portrait in Hydrangea (Hydrangea paniculata)

On one of my walks a few weeks ago I saw this very large, magnificent hydrangea in bloom and I've been dreaming of doing this portrait since then. This was taken on Wednesday evening as the sun was setting. Thanks to the neighbors who let me borrow their lawn for a few minutes! :)

It seems funny to see spring-like colors in November but I suppose that's not surprising this year. It's been one of the warmest autumns I can remember.

Post-processing: Shot with the Canon EOS 5D and the Canon 85mm f/1.2L lens at f/4.5, 1/60s, ISO 400. Curves adjustments and color balancing.

Thank you for visiting Durham Township!
