Maple Leaves

Photograph info: This photo was taken on Monday afternoon, the same day as the previous pear shot. We had lovely light and warm weather that day, ideal conditions for raking up piles of fallen leaves and jumping into them afterward... and photographing the results. :)

Camera settings and post-processing: Shot with the Canon EOS 5D and the Canon 85mm f/1.2L lens at f/2.8, 1/320s, ISO 200. Removed some spots/dust/dirt, curves adjustments for contrast, brightness, saturation and de-saturation, color balancing for tone.

Thank you for visiting Durham Township!

On a different note, I started feeling a little sad about how people are treating each other during this presidential election season, so I designed a few tee-shirts to remind everyone that beneath our campaign buttons, we're still human beings with hearts!

The Fall Girl. Leaves in her hair, trees in her eyes.....and a little lip gloss?.....Beautiful.

Love your framing. Now, which rake did you use?

This is wonderful! The catchlights in her eyes are really amazing...Gorgeous! The light is just perfect.

It brings back memories of the flower shots you did of me at Round Valley a few years back, only you have a much prettier model here. :)

We still don't have enough leaves down to really do much raking around here just yet. Soon though, very soon.

A perfect book cover.
The book itself probably still to be written.

Marta, probably a Face Book.

Kathleen, a Beautiful Pear and a Beautiful Pair all in one afternoon--that's a productive day!

I also appreciate your political commentary and have fwd'd it to others. You do a lot of hearts good, thanks #.....(where'd I put the big calculator?......)

The catchlights in your subjects warm brown eyes make this photo...that, and the composition. Bravo. And thank you so much for the t-shirt commentary. Here, here!

I only saw the top part of the photo on the screen and nearly jumped out of my skin when I scrolled down and saw the face--not because it's not a beautiful face and a great picture, but because it startled me. Unexpected.
